​In 2021 we bought our first home on a little island off the mainland, to pursue a life closer to nature to raise our daughter. It meant a real shift in the way we live. Like learning how to cultivate land and grow food. Learning about renovations, and how to DIY everything. How to sew - clothing and soft furnishings.

The more self sufficient I have become, the more I want to create a handmade life. Food from the garden, and making things from scratch. Adding a custom touch to all corners of the house. Sewing my own wardrobe so everything is sustainable and tailored to my own, bespoke measurements. Reducing my environmental footprint, lowering my outgoings and incomings, and living more frugally.

I enjoy documenting these things to hopefully motivate others but also to keep myself accountable, and inspired.

I believe that luxury is another word for ease, and that well-designed clothing and spaces invite the this into one's life. It doesn't have to cost the earth. I want my home to full of things I've made by hand, and that which others have also hand crafted.
